Bighorn Canyon is in the seventh year of the Artists-in-Residence (AIR) program. Over thirty local, national, and international artists applied for the Bighorn Canyon AIR program in 2020, and four amazing artists have been selected. “This is one of my favorite programs at Bighorn Canyon and the artists who apply are very talented. We have met and helped several artists fall in love with the Canyon who then become some of our best ambassadors. We are always excited for the new group,” said Chief of Interpretation Christy Fleming. Each artist will spend two weeks at Bighorn Canyon focusing on their work with at least one day set aside during their stay for public programs and to share and sharing their work.

The artists selected for the 2020 Bighorn Canyon AIR program are Jennifer Carrigan of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Denny Neville of Byron, WY; James Keay-Bright of Cotswolds, England; and Toni Bergeon of Green Bay, WI.

These artists will provide a range of medium demonstrations from oil painting, to fiber arts, to photography. Bighorn Canyon will announce the dates for each artist and would like to invite all local and visiting artists to attend the public programs, set up an easel, create art, share techniques, and be inspired by the Bighorn Canyon setting.
