BIG BEND NATIONAL PARK, TX – The National Park Service announced today the selection of Casa Grande Hospitality, LLC, a subsidiary of Aramark, to provide concession services within Big Bend National Park. The new 15-year contract (CC-BIBE002-24) for lodging, food and beverage, fuel, retail, RV park, and other visitor services within Big Bend National Park will begin July 1, 2024.
Aramark is the incumbent operator and has provided services in Big Bend since acquiring Forever Resorts in 2022. “We look forward to a successful relationship with Casa Grande Hospitality,” stated Acting Park Superintendent Kendell Thompson. “They are a critical partner with the NPS in providing essential amenities for our ½ million annual visitors.”
Solicitation of concession business opportunities within national park sites and the selection of best proposals are routine processes for the National Park Service, dictated by the 1998 Concessions Management Improvement Act (1998 Act). By law, all contracts are issued through a fully open and competitive process, awarding contracts to those with the best proposal.
