No entrance pass required
An entrance pass is not required to access Amistad National Recreation Area. Other National Park Service sites may require an entrance pass or fee. Depending on your trip plans, an interagency pass may save you money. Amistad National Recreation Area does not charge entrance fees. However, the park does sell the America the Beautiful - The National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass Series for federal public lands managed by the National Park Service, Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Bureau of Reclamation, and U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.

Lake Use PassesCampingDesignated campground sites are first-come, first-served. We do not take reservations for these standard sites. Fees are specific to each campground and are listed on each campground's page. To learn more about camping at Amistad National Recreation Area, please visit the park's Camping page. HuntingHunting at Amistad National Recreation Area usually runs from the first day of dove season through the last day of quail season. To hunt one or more of Amistad's 5 designated areas, you will need a hunting permit each hunt year in addition to your state license and documentation. Visit the park's Hunting webpage for more information on how to apply for a hunting permit and associated costs.
