Winter and spring visitor services hosted with the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce

BAR HARBOR, MAINE – Beginning on November 1, information and orientation to Acadia National Park will be available at the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center during the winter and spring season. Visitors will be able to talk with park rangers about Acadia National Park and talk with chamber of commerce staff to learn about local businesses, services, and recreational opportunities. The Chamber of Commerce is willing to share its downtown space location with the National Park Service to provide visitor services in an easy to reach convenient location.

During the first month of this partnership, for one day only, the Acadia Annual Pass that normally sells at $55 will be on sale at “almost-half-price” for $28. This will be during the Early Bird Pajama Sale and Bed Races in Bar Harbor on November 10 from 6 am to 12 pm at the Village Green. Passes must be obtained in person with cash, check, or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover). No phone orders will be taken. Acadia Annual Passes at “almost-half-price” will be available again during the month of December at several local locations (e.g., Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce).

The Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce is located in town on the corner of Cottage and Main Street. Hours are 8 am to 4 pm daily. Early closure at 3 pm is expected the day before Thanksgiving on November 21. Early closure at noon is expected the day before New Year’s on December 31. Full-day holiday closures are set for Nov 22, Dec 24, Dec 25, Dec 26, and Jan 1. For more specific information on the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce, please call [phone].

Hulls Cove Visitor Center, the entry point for many visitors to the Acadia National Park, will close its doors for the season on October 31. The reopening of the Hulls Cove Visitor Center in 2019 will be announced at a later date at which time park rangers will relocate from the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce back to Hulls Cove. Please note, the Acadia National Park Headquarters contact station on Eagle Lake Road (Route 233) closed permanently on May 1, 2017 and has no pass sales, information, services, or restrooms.
