BAR HARBOR, MAINE – In partnership with Mount Desert Island Adult Education, Ellsworth Adult and Community Education, and College of the Atlantic, Acadia National Park will host seven federal resume workshops this winter.

Applying for a federal job is different than applying to jobs in nearly every other industry. With seasonal job announcements at Acadia scheduled to be released in the coming weeks, it’s critical that potential applicants understand what’s expected when navigating the federal hiring process. These free federal resume workshops will provide prospective seasonal employees with the tools to successfully submit a job application to Acadia National Park.

The power of place is immediately evident to Acadia National Park visitors. What isn’t necessarily apparent is how much the NPS relies on seasonal employees to make it possible for visitors from all over the world to have a safe and enjoyable experience. Acadia National Park hires more than 100 seasonal employees each year in jobs that have great potential for developing into exciting careers.

“Acadia is an incredibly special place to work,” says superintendent Kevin Schneider. “You'll work with people who care deeply about our mission and are eager to help you grow in your position: all at one of the most beautiful offices in Maine.”

The Federal Resume Workshops will be held at the following dates and times:

  • Thursday, January 11, 5:30-7:30pm (in person and online, Ellsworth)

  • Tuesday, January 16, 6-8pm (in person and online, Ellsworth)
