The National Park Service (NPS) has received a request to amend Concession Contract No. CC-YUCH901-21 for Hunting Guide Services at the Upper Seventymile airstrip (64.946996, -142.961298) in Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve in the following manner:
- increase the maximum number of annual clients from six to eight, and
- increase the maximum number of allowable consecutive camping days at the Upper Seventymile airstrip from 14 to 21 (August 20 – September 9).
These changes are proposed to remain in effect through 2030 when the contract expires.
The NPS is hereby providing public notice and initiating a 60-day public comment period. The public is invited to comment on the proposed activity.
DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: March 20, 2023 by 5:00 pm
Written comments must be received by the National Park Service, addressed to 4175 Geist Road, Fairbanks, AK 99709, on or before 5:00 pm on the date noted above.
