Glacier Point Road in Yosemite National Park to Open Tomorrow, April 19, 2016

The Glacier Point Road in Yosemite National Park will open for the season to automobile traffic tomorrow, Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at 9:00 a.m.

The Glacier Point Store will not be open, but it is anticipated to open in early May. However, vault toilets will be available for visitors.

Bridalveil Creek Campground is closed, and will open for the season in the next several weeks. There is snow at most trailheads and on the trails. Visitors are urged to use caution when hiking.

Visitors are urged to drive slowly and with caution, as wildlife may be present on or near the roadway.

The Tioga Road, the popular east-west crossing of the Sierra Nevada in the northern portion of Yosemite, remains closed at this time. Currently, there is no anticipated opening date for the Tioga Road.
