Due to high fire danger and to reduce the number of human-caused wildfires, fire restrictions are currently in effect below 6,000 feet. Additionally, wood and charcoal fires are prohibited in Tamarack Flat Campground.
Fire Restrictions Below 6,000 Feet
The following are not allowed:

Wood and charcoal fires (including twig stoves) below 6,000 feet

Smoking below 6,000 feet
The following areas are not included in fire restrictions:

Designated frontcountry campgrounds that are open

Designated picnic areas that are open where wood or charcoal fires are allowed
Smoking below 6,000 feet is only allowed in the following situations:

Within an enclosed vehicle

Designated frontcountry campgrounds and picnic areas that are open where wood or charcoal fires are allowed

Designated smoking areas
-
While stopped in an area at least three feet in diameter that is barren or has been cleared of flammable material
