Operational Update
Additional Interagency Hotshot Crews have been ordered and are arriving at the incident. Firefighters’ top priority is the northeast area, where multiple spot fires occurred Thursday afternoon. Yesterday, crews were successful with limiting growth of the furthest spot fire. Aircraft supported operations throughout the fire as needed. Today, crews will reinforce containment lines in the south. Along the eastern and western flanks, firefighters will work the fire’s edge from south to north. Crews have made good progress in the northern area and will be working the line north to south on the western flank. The arriving Hotshot Crews will help increase containment of the remaining spot fires.
Weather
Sunny skies are expected to return Saturday with temperatures remaining well above normal and continued dry conditions. Highs will be in the 70s with humidity dropping into the teens. Morning light winds will become southwest 5-8 mph with gusts around 15 mph.

Drones and Aviation Safety
Unauthorized drones can force firefighting aircraft to stop flying, delay suppression efforts, and allow fires to grow. If you fly, we can't. Help protect firefighters, communities, and our nation's landscapes by keeping your drone away from wildfires. Aviation resources "Own" the airspace around wildfires.
