The Glacier Point and Tioga Roads in Yosemite National Park are closed due to snow and ice on the roadways.  The park is receiving snow at the higher elevations and both roads have been closed.  Once the weather system clears out of the area, an assessment will be made as to whether or not to reopen the roads.  A warming pattern is anticipated tomorrow afternoon.

The Half Dome Cables have been taken down for the season.  The cables are taken down each fall and will be put up in the spring of 2010.  Visitors are strongly advised against attempting to summit Half Dome without the cables in place as the rock under the cables is extremely slippery and may be wet and/or icy even in seemingly dry conditions.
