NPS/Diane Renkin

Bridge Bay Campground, elevation 7,800 ft (2,347 m), is located just across the road from Yellowstone Lake, one of the largest, high elevation fresh water lakes in North America. It is located 30 miles west of the east entrance to the park and is adjacent to the Bridge Bay Marina and store.

Campers at Bridge Bay will enjoy spectacular views of the lake and the Absaroka Range rising above the lake's eastern shore. The campground serves as a convenient base camp for lake activities and many day hikes located in the eastern part of the park. Lace up your boots for a hike to the Natural Bridge (3 mi [4.8 km] one way) from the trailhead located near the campground.

Bridge Bay is one of the largest campgrounds in the park with 432 campsites. Some sites are open, allowing for cool breezes throughout the day, while others are located among trees, accommodating those seeking some shade and privacy. Group and wheel-chair accessible sites are available.

Each campsite has a picnic table and fire pit with grate. Restroom facilities are equipped with flush toilets and sinks with running water. Drinking water is available from faucets around the campground. There are no utility hookups but the campground has a dump station. Generator use is allowed from 8 am to 8 pm. Food storage boxes measuring 48 x 22 x 22 in. are available for shared use.

A park ranger hosts nightly evening programs from early June to early September at the campground amphitheater. Please see the ranger program schedule in the park newspaper for more information.

Adjacent to the campground is the Bridge Bay Ranger Station, Marina and store. Boat permits are available at the ranger station; an aquatic invasive species inspection performed by park staff, is required.

This campground is managed by park concessionaire XanterraParks and Resorts and takes reservations at 1-866-Geyserland (within the U.S.), (307) 344-7311 or online at YellowstoneNationalParkLodges.
