White Sands National Monument will Host a Mexican Art Show and Market on Saturday, June 30 & Sunday, July 1

ALAMOGORDO, NM – On Saturday, June 30 and Sunday, July 1, White Sands National Monument and, partner cooperating association, Western National Parks Association, will host the 4th annual Step Through Time: Mexican Art Show and Market at the visitor center from 10:00 am-5:00 pm. 

In this family-oriented event, experience the rich culture of Northern Chihuahua and Oaxaca Mexico beautifully expressed through extraordinary Mata Ortiz pottery, whimsical Oaxacan wood carvings, and vibrant Zapotec rugs. Meet the artists as they explain the cultural history and meaning of their artwork. You will find a wide array of handmade items available for purchase including, museum quality pieces.
