Join a park ranger on an easy walking tour through Whiskeytown Cemetery on Sunday, September 25 at 2 p.m. Step back in time by visiting several gravesites and learn about the individuals and families who settled in the Whiskeytown area starting with the heyday of the California Gold Rush and ending with period before the construction of Whiskeytown Dam. Following the tour, join park ranger Nancy Quirus for some cool refreshments and an opportunity to share your remembrances or ask questions about this intriguing and unique cemetery. You are encouraged to bring a lawn chair for this portion of the program. Entire program will last about 1.5 hours.
