2nd Annual Amateur Snapshot Exhibition

The public is invited to submit copies of their favorite “snapshot” for exhibition at the Whiskeytown National Recreation Area Visitor Center. Friends of Whiskeytown, in cooperation with the National Park Service, is asking the public to submit amateur photographs of “park-people-scapes”: snapshots of themselves, their families, and friends picnicking, swimming, horseback riding, fishing, hiking, boating, running, reading…any activity they enjoy at Whiskeytown. The Friends of Whiskeytown will present an exhibit at the Visitor Center of photos showing community members participating in the wide range of activities Whiskeytown offers. Beginning Saturday, June 2nd, and running through mid-summer, July 9th, this exhibition promises to be fun.

 

Photographs must be:

5”X7” in size. Color or black & white.

Submit in person at the Whiskeytown Visitor Center, Highway 299 and Kennedy Memorial Drive. Open daily, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

 

Deadline to submit: Photographs must be received no later than Sunday, May 15, 2007.

 

Information required:

Participant must write on the back of each snapshot where at Whiskeytown the photo was taken, and what year it was taken.

 

All photographs submitted will become property of the Friends of Whiskeytown and will not be returned. Due to space restrictions, not all snapshots received may be displayed.
