TUSKEGEE, AL – In observance of Black History Month 2021, the Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site will feature special posts and recorded ranger programs on its Facebook page throughout the month of February (www.facebook.com/TuskegeeAirmenNHS. Highlights will include:

This year the Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site is launching the 2021 Double Victory Poetry Contest. For those interested in submitting a poem to the contest you must send in your application by Feb. 23, 2021.   • THEME: Double Victory – The Tuskegee Airmen
  • ELIGIBILITY: Ages 5 – 18
  • GUIDELINES: Less than 21 lines, no more than 1 page in length
  • JUDGING: All decisions by the judges are final
  • DATES: Submission deadline Feb. 23, 2021, 5:00 p.m. CST
  • Announcement of winners: March 2, 2021. Winners will have the opportunity to read their poems on social media March 7, 2021, in honor of Tuskegee Airmen Day
