DrivingThe Battlefield has a self-guiding 10-mile paved Tour Road with ten informative and scenic tour stops. There is an audio tour to go along with the drive available through this link (also available on the National Park Service App under "Self-Guided Tours" on the Saratoga National Historical Park page). BicyclingBicycling is a fantastic way to explore the Battlefield portion of Saratoga National Historical Park in the spring, summer, and autumn! There are no bike rentals at the park, so visitors need to bring their own bicycles. Helmets are required for all cyclists.HikingHiking is also a great way of exploring the Battlefield throughout the year. The Wilkinson Trail is a 4.2 mile loop from the Visitor Center through the battlefield.
Horseback RidingWhile there are no horse rentals at the park, visitors with their own horses may bring them to Saratoga Battlefield and make use of our 5+mile (round trip) horse trail. Public TransportationWhile there are no public transportation forms that regularly service Saratoga National Historical Park, ridesharing apps are now available in New York State. Amtrak has a station in Saratoga Springs, NY, approximately 15 miles west of the park. Albany International Airport is located in Albany, NY, approximately 30 miles south of the park. |
