(Agoura Hills, CA) Come discover your neighborhood national parks at the third annual Science Festival. The event and parking is free and open to the public. Hours are 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, April 27th, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 28th at Paramount Ranch in Agoura Hills, CA.

The public can expect a variety of programs that appeal to children and adults alike. On Friday evening, join park rangers and regional scientists for an experience in the mountains after dark. Night hikes, and activities about owls, bats and other nocturnal creatures await all who venture into the wild after sundown. Bring a flashlight.

On Saturday, a variety of special presentations and hands-on demonstrations promise to delight participants of all ages. Scientists and researchers from Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, Channel Islands National Park, Cabrillo National Monument in San Diego, the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, and the California Science Center will be on hand to provide natural resource updates on reptiles and amphibians, carnivores, native plants, and marine ecosystems. Live animal demonstrations, nature walks led by park rangers and The Children's Nature Institute, and hands-on activities will engage audiences who want to touch and discover the world around them. In addition to scheduled programs, many booths and games will be available throughout the day.
