OYSTER BAY, NY – Sagamore Hill National Historic Site, in response to guidance from Nassau County and the New York State Department of Health, is announcing modifications to operations to support federal, state, and local efforts to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
As of March 17, 2020, Sagamore Hill has offered no services outside those that support visitor or resource protection. At Sagamore Hill, the following services and operations have been suspended in order to comply with the New York State PAUSE order:
- The Theodore Roosevelt Home, Old Orchard Museum, and all restroom facilities, are closed until further notice. All scheduled tours, special programs, and events are cancelled until further notice. Refunds for all tours scheduled through recreation.gov will issued as soon as possible.
Outdoor spaces at Sagamore Hill remain accessible to the public in accordance with the latest federal, state, and local health guidance, in addition to entry fees being waived for visitors.
- Park grounds, including parking lots, roads, trails and the beach remain open at this time.
