Fun for everyone at the 10th Annual Heritage Festival
TRIANGLE, VA – Musicians, exhibitors, crafters and the National Park Service team set the tone for the exciting 10th annual Heritage Festival.
Take hikes with rangers to learn about the park’s history and ecosystems. See how early inhabitants used the land. Learn how the land helped to build more than 200 structures that used for summer camps for inner city youth during the Great Depression. Kick back and enjoy the sounds of bluegrass and 1930s music. Join us as we share this amazing place and all the wonder it has to offer.
This free event takes place at historic cabin camp 4. The event opens at 10:30 a.m. for parking; music and demonstrations begin at 11 a.m. Bring the whole family and learn what makes Prince William Forest Park a special place.
“What’s really special about Heritage Festival, beyond the fun, is how the stories about the park come to life,” park Superintendent Tanya Gossett said. “Music, crafts, nature and stories about the park make the event great for everyone.”
