NPS

Prince William Forest Park preserves the largest protected natural area in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The park offers incredible natural landscapes to explore, as well as historical structures and important history. Prince William Forest Park preserves cabin camps (which you can stay in) constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps during the Great Depression and facilities used by the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), the precursor to the modern C.I.A.

Visitors will find opportunities for hiking, running, camping, and biking, as well as picnic areas and a playground at Prince William Park.
