POINT REYES STATION, Calif. – National Park Service (NPS) officials from Point Reyes National Seashore and other agencies are continuing their search for a swimmer reported missing near a remote area of the park called Wildcat Beach Sunday morning at 10:30 am.

The U.S. Coast Guard suspended its search in the frigid waters this morning, but a ground search is being conducted by first responders from the NPS, the Marin County Sheriff's Office and the Marin County Fire Department, and the Stinson Beach Fire Department.

The identity of the missing swimmer is being withheld pending notification of family and in collaboration with law enforcement agencies.

The search was initially conducted by land, water, and air.
