POINT REYES STATION, California – On Sunday, September 11, 2022, Point Reyes National Seashore will hold its first Junior Ranger Day. This special event will be from 11 am to 2 pm outside the Bear Valley Visitor Center. The free, family-friendly day will include activities for kids of all ages!
Join a ranger and have fun playing Junior Ranger bingo or try making butter the old fashion way. Groom one of the park’s Morgan horses or learn more about what different rangers do by wearing their uniforms! All participants will be sworn in as Point Reyes National Seashore Junior Rangers and receive a Junior Ranger badge.
The National Park Service Junior Ranger program is found nationwide, and most parks have Junior Ranger programs. Young visitors receive a Junior Ranger booklet, complete activities, and earn a Junior Ranger badge. Junior Rangers are typically between the ages of 6 and 12, although people of all ages can participate.
