Petrified Forest National Park Hosts Public Open House for Addition Land

Petrified Forest National Park, Arizona—The public is invited to attend and participate in the first phase of planning for lands added to the park by the Petrified Forest National Park Expansion Act of 2004. A public meeting will be held in Holbrook, Arizona on Monday, March 3 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Holiday Inn Express, 1308 E. Navajo Blvd., Holbrook, Arizona86025.

The open house-style meeting will begin with a slide presentation introducing the planning effort for the park addition lands. After the presentation there will be an opportunity to meet one-on-one with members of the planning team and meet the new park superintendent, Cliff Spencer. The slide presentation will be repeated during the meeting as needed. Members of the public are encouraged to attend at their convenience anytime between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m.
