Petrified Forest, AZ—This summer, Petrified Forest National Park is hosting a series of Cultural Demonstrators each Saturday, 9 am-5 pm, at the Painted Desert Inn National Historic Landmark. This program provides the opportunity for regional people to share their history and traditional arts and crafts in the dynamic setting of Petrified Forest.  The demonstrators for the rest of summer 2011 include:

July 16        Alice Hawthorne—Navajo Jewelry Artist and Weaver

July 23                 Otto Lucio—Zuni Silversmith

July 30                 Otto Lucio—Zuni Silversmith

August 6                 Lucinda "Dusty" Nastacio—Zuni Beadworker

August 13   Stephanie Lomatewama—Hopi Basket Weaver

         Horace Kayquoptewa—Hopi Katcina doll Carver

August 20   Sheldon and Nancy Westika—Zuni Silversmiths
