2008 Teacher-Ranger-Teacher Program Announced at Petrified Forest National Park Petrified Forest, AZ ― Petrified Forest National Park is looking for teachers interested in working as National Park Rangers from June 9-August 1, 2008 as part of the Teacher-Ranger-Teacher program. The Teacher-Ranger-Teacher program links national park units with teachers from under-served urban and rural school districts. Selected teachers work as park rangers, performing duties dependent on their interests and the needs of the park. Then during the school year, these teachers bring the parks into the classroom by developing and presenting curriculum-based lesson plans that draw on their summer's experience.
