MARCH: Archeology Month events and Parks' Birthday (March 20, 1909)
MEMORIAL DAY THRU LABOR DAY: Free Ranger-led activities; Hogan talks on request; Betatakin hikes are offered at 7AM on Fridays and Saturdays with signup sheet at the Visitor Center
JUNE: Treaty Day (June 1) commemorating the signing of the Navajo Treaty of 1868
AUGUST: National Park Week that includes the National Park Service birthday (August 25) and National Junior Ranger Day (August 30)
SEPTEMBER: National Public Lands Day activities
OCTOBER: Halloween Celebration
NOVEMBER: Native American Heritage Month
NOTE: Trips to Keet Seel are offered in the Spring and Fall. Hikes are Ranger-led overnight trips where groups will hike in and out of the canyon together. Free registration will be offered about one month before scheduled hikes. Hikes may have to be cancelled due to severe conditions such as heat, rain, snow and ice.
