As a result of the forecast for adverse wintery weather conditions, the Natchez Trace Parkway has issued a travelers advisory for the sections of Parkway in northern Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee. Forecasted conditions tonight and over the next few days include the possibility of freezing temperatures, day and night, and the accumulation of snow and ice. Adverse weather conditions are forecasted to begin late Wednesday night. Freezing temperatures may cause wet roads and bridges to ice over. Motorists should use caution while traveling the Natchez Trace Parkway during adverse weather conditions. Although the motor road remains open at this time, the Natchez Trace Parkway may experience temporary closures due to snow and ice on the roadway or trees felled due to ice accumulations.
