As a result of the continuing adverse weather conditions, the Natchez Trace Parkway has issued a travelers advisory for the sections of Parkway in northern Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee.

The Natchez Trace Parkway remains closed from milepost 429 to the northern terminus at 442.5 in Tennessee. This will affect the on-ramps at Tennessee Highways 100, 96, and 46 (Pinewood Road).

Ice accumulation on trees has been reported from milepost 350 to the northern terminus of the Parkway. Travelers with oversized vehicles (e.g., campers and motor homes) are advised to use caution when traveling the Parkway due to the possibility of low hanging limbs.

Travelers are strongly advised to not use the Parkway in Tennessee.

Forecasted conditions for tonight are for lower temperatures with further accumulation of snow and ice.

Further advisories may be posted. Current weather information is available through your local radio and television stations. For up-to-date Parkway road information call (662) 680-4027 or (662) 680-4000.

In the event of an emergency on the Natchez Trace Parkway, call Park Dispatch at (800) 300-PARK (7275) or 911.
