WAYNE COUNTY, TN - Effective immediately, officials have closed the
Natchez Trace Parkway motor road between Highway 64, (milepost 370) to
Highway 912 (milepost 355), Broadway Street in Collinwood, Tennessee.
The closure is necessary due to snow and freezing rain covering the
roadway. The duration of the closure is undetermined at this time,
but the Parkway will work to reopen the area as soon as possible.
Traffic will be detoured from milepost 354.9 to 370.1. The length of
the detour is approximately 21.7 miles with an additional travel time
of roughly 40 minutes. Directional signage will be placed along the
detour route for travelers.
Northbound traffic will be directed off of the Parkway at milepost
354.9 onto the Collinwood, Tennessee exit. The detour will then turn
right onto Broadway Street and then right onto TN 13 north to
Waynesboro, Tennessee.
Southbound traffic will be directed off of the Parkway at milepost
370.1 onto US 64 west to Waynesboro, Tennessee. The detour will then
turn left (south) onto North High Street (TN 13) in Waynesboro,
Tennessee. The final leg of the detour will be to turn left (east) on
Broadway Street in Collinwood, Tennessee and then back onto the
Parkway at milepost 354.9.
