Natchez Trace Parkway Urgent Travel Advisory Due to Hurricane Laura

Tupelo, MS – Travelers are advised to avoid using the Natchez Trace Parkway as Hurricane Laura travels up the Mississippi River and into the Tennessee River Valley. Forecasted conditions for the next 24 to 48 hours include the possibility of heavy rains and strong winds, which may result in falling trees and other obstructions on the Parkway. Maintenance on the Parkway will not occur during dangerous storm conditions. Remember, cellular coverage is limited to non-existent on certain sections of the Parkway. 

Although the motor road remains open at this time, the Natchez Trace Parkway may experience temporary closures due to the above conditions.
