Natchez Trace Parkway Unveils American Indian Wayside Exhibits at Colbert Ferry

CHEROKEE, AL – The Natchez Trace Parkway will partner with the Chickasaw Nation and the Natchez Trace Parkway Association to celebrate the unveiling of the American Indian themed wayside exhibits. The event takes place at Colbert Ferry on April 27, 2017 at 10 am.

 
The unveiling will be at the former location of the George Colbert home at the Colbert Ferry site along the Tennessee River (milepost 327). Representatives from the National Park Service, Chickasaw Nation, and Natchez Trace Parkway Association will give brief remarks before the unveiling. The American Legion Post #31 from Tuscumbia, Alabama will present the colors. For additional information, call 1-800-305-7417.

The Parkway Visitor Center near Tupelo, MS, is open 9am-4:30pm seven days a week. The visitor center is closed Thanksgiving, December 25th and January 1st.
