TUPELO, MS: Natchez Trace Parkway officials announce a portion of the Parkway near Dancy will be closed starting July 10, 2017, for motorized and non-motorized traffic (including bicyclists). The motor road closure from milepost 214.5 (Webster County, MS) to milepost 219.5 (Clay County, MS) will allow for spot pavement repairs to be made. These repairs are part of an overlay project that extends from milepost 204 through 219. This detour is expected to be in place until July 24, 2017.

Northbound traffic will be detoured off the Parkway at the milepost 214.5 ramp, then North on MS Highway 15, to East on MS Highway 46, and back onto the Parkway at milepost 219.5.

Southbound traffic will be detoured off the Parkway at the milepost 219.5 ramp, then West on MS Highway 46, then South on MS Highway 15 to the ramp and back onto the Parkway at milepost 214.5.

Parkway travelers are encouraged to take precautions through this area. Additional travel time should be less than five minutes.
