TUPELO, MS – The Natchez Trace Parkway invites children and their families to come enjoy the Read with a Ranger program at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at the Parkway Visitor Center. This month’s featured story is “Stellaluna,” a book about a bat that lives with a family of birds. Participants will hear how the animals accept each other’s differences.

Read with a Ranger is a 45-minute program that is most appropriate for ages six and under, but all ages are welcome. Participants will listen to a story and join in a fun activity to explore each other’s differences and similarities. Afterward, they may go on an optional and easy half-mile hike.  Read with a Ranger features a new story on the second Saturday of the month. To confirm the time and program scheduled each month, please visit our website calendar at

This program is free to the public. The Parkway Visitor Center is located at milepost 266 on the Natchez Trace Parkway, near Tupelo, Mississippi. For additional information, call (800) 305-7417.
