TUPELO, MS –The Natchez Trace Parkway invites children and their families to come and enjoy "Brave Little Raccoon" as part of the Read with a Ranger program.The program starts 10:00 am on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at the Parkway Visitor Center.Read with a Ranger is a new 45-minute program that is most appropriate for ages six and under, but all ages are welcome. Visitors can listen to a story, participate in a fun activity, and go on an optional quarter-mile hike. The program will feature a new story on the second Saturday of the month through September. Participants will hear the story of "Brave Little Raccoon" as she makes her way through the woods at night, encountering frogs, opossums, and owls. After the story, children will have the opportunity to touch the preserved pelts of raccoons and other animals. This program is free to the public.
