State Route 410 in Mount Rainier National Park opened this morning at 7:00 am. Road construction continues between milepost 64 and 64.5, near the junction with State Route 123 at Cayuse Pass. Travelers should expect 30 minute delays, with alternating one-way travel through the road construction site until late June.

The road construction repairs a rough road surface related to a slow moving and deep-seated landslide at this location. During road construction, vehicles will be led through the site by a pilot car. Expect delays of up to 30 minutes. After work hours, a traffic signal will allow one-way traffic to pass through the site in timed intervals.

This road repair project was scheduled to have the least impact possible on the traveling public with work beginning this spring before the road typically opens to the public and the project ending by late June.

Updated information and a map showing the location of this road construction project and all park roads, can be found on Mount Rainier National Park website,www.nps.gov/mora.
