SPRINGFIELD, IL: On April 29, 2023, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Lincoln Home National Historic Site will join the National Park Service to celebrate Junior Ranger Day 2023. Join National Park rangers and staff in the Lincoln Home Visitor Center, located at 426 S. 7th Street in Springfield IL, to participate in activities and earn Junior Ranger prizes!

On April 29 inside the Lincoln Home Visitor Center, visitors can take part in activities all day, including a Junior Ranger-themed photo booth, crafts, and a self-guided park scavenger hunt. Visitors can also complete the Lincoln Home National Historic Site Junior Ranger book. When visitors complete any of these activities, they will earn their Junior Ranger Badge and Junior Ranger Flat Hat, which can be picked up inside the Lincoln Home Visitor Center.

The NPS Junior Ranger program is an activity-based program conducted in almost all parks. Junior Ranger Day is celebrated as part of National Park Week, a nine-day celebration of everything "parks." Learn more about the Junior Ranger program and National Park Week here.
