Park Highway Remains Closed

Lassen Volcanic National Park Highway remains temporarily closed at the park boundary, four miles north of the junction of Highway 36 E and Highway 89. Park road crews continue to deal with complications with clearing as much as 10 feet of snow on the park highway. The park highway and the Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor and parking area are not anticipated to open until Monday, December 31. Please note that the visitor center is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for the winter season; the visitor center will not be open on New Year's Day.
