The North Entrance Zone is a small zone broken into two sections. One section is near the North Entrance Station in Twentynine Palms. The other section is east of the Twin Tanks Backcountry Trailhead. This zone features open valleys, sandy washes, and rugged mountains. Elevations range from 2,800 to 4,000+ feet.

Trails: California Hiking and Riding Trail (37 miles one-way)

Bordering Zones: Pinto Mountains, Twin Tanks, and Pine City. To the east, most of the zone is bordered by land managed by the Bureau of Land Management.

Closest Backcountry Trailheads to Enter/Exit: North Entrance (2,880') and Twin Tanks (3,900')
