Designs Sought for Joshua Tree Anniversary Logo

Joshua Tree National Park announces the release of a Request for Proposals to graphic artists and designers for the creation of a logo to help the park promote and celebrate its upcoming 75th Anniversary. Designers with skills in graphic arts, logo development, and branding campaigns are invited to submit conceptual designs to the park as described in the Request for Proposals (RFP).

First established as a national monument by President Franklin Roosevelt in 1936 (and redesignated as a national park in 1994), the park plans a series of public events and celebrations throughout the entire 2011 year to commemorate its history and encourage public awareness and appreciation of the park. The logo, message tag line, and associated graphic images will be used to develop a broad-based public marketing and media campaign to promote the anniversary and its activities.

Qualified artists, designers, and design teams are welcome to submit proposals for consideration by the park and its partners. All proposals should be submitted to the park according to guidelines detailed in the 75th Anniversary Logo RFP.

For questions about the project, contact Joshua Tree National Park Chief of Interpretation Joe Zarki at 760-367-5520, or by email.
