On March 24, 2012, John Fitzgerald Kennedy National Historic Site will open for the afternoon as we join Brookline Booksmith in welcoming the anchor of Hardball and host of The Chris Matthews Show as he visits John F. Kennedy's hometown to share his new biography of our 35th President. In Jack Kennedy: Elusive Hero, Matthews has compiled information from those who knew him best to create a masterful and insightful portrait of a true American hero. The event held at Brookline Booksmith, 279 Harvard Street, Brookline, MA, is part of the Brookline Booksmith's Writers and Readers Series. The event begins at 7:00 p.m. and will feature Mr. Matthews reading from his book, a Q&A session, and book-signing. Seating begins at 6:30pm. Please note that Brookline parking meters run until 8pm Monday through Saturday. In addition to the evening event, John Fitzgerald Kennedy National Historic Site will be open to the public from 1:00-5:00 pm, on Saturday, March 24 for public tours of the site. Admission to the site and the reading is free. |
