Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with John Fitzgerald Kennedy National Historic Site. We are currently recruiting for an Interpretation and Visitor Services Student Volunteer/Intern Position to run from approximately late-May through mid-August 2025, during our open season.   • Interpretation and Visitor Services Student Volunteer - We are pleased to offer a student volunteer/unpaid internship position for undergraduate and graduate students during our open season. These positions offer exceptional opportunities for students to gain experience in the field of public history and museum studies. Student volunteers and interns will assist National Park Service staff by providing tours, writing interpretive media, and preparing for special events.

  • Interpretation and Visitor Services Volunteer - We are pleased to offer the opportunity to serve as an Interpretation and Visitor Services Volunteer for the duration of our open season from late-May through late-October 2025! Volunteers working in interpretation and visitor services will perform a variety of tasks while assisting NPS staff in the day-to-day operations of the site, including working at our visitor center desk, as well as providing 30-minute guided tours of President John F. Kennedy's birthplace home.
