Acadian Cultural Center Sponsors Stage for Festival International de Louisiane

Lafayette, LA.: The Acadian Cultural Center is pleased to sponsor the performances and presenters on “La Galerie” stage for Festival International de Louisiana. “La Galerie “stage performances will take place April 28-30, 2023. The festival is free!

La Galerie stage is located on Jefferson Street across from Chase Bank and the schedule is as follows:

Friday April 28

  • 6:00-7:00 p.m. Joe Hall & the Cane Cutters
  • 7:15-7:45 p.m. Cajun Dance lessons with Brandon Broussard, Presenter
  • 8:15-9:15 p.m. Feufollet

Saturday April 29

  • 12:15-1:30 p.m. Lafayette Rhythm Devils
  • 2:00-2:30 p.m. Zydeco Dance lessons with Moriah Hargrave, Presenter
  • 3:00-4:15 p.m. Corey Ledet & His Zydeco Band
  • 4:45-5:15 p.m. Traiteur Becca Begnaud & Native Healer Jackie Junca, Presenters
  • 5:45-7:00 p.m. Bonsoir Catin
  • 7:30-8:45 p.m. Curley Taylor & Zydeco Trouble

Sunday April 30

  • 12:00-12:30 p.m. Louisiana Pow Wow Dancers, Presenters
  • 1:00-2:00 p.m. SOLA Violins International Fiddle Summit

Festival International de Louisiane is a five-day cultural celebration known around the globe for its bold and diverse music, food, art, and unforgettable experiences. It is also the largest international music and arts festival in the United States. For more information visit the Festival International de Louisiane website.

The Acadian Cultural Center is managed by the National Park Service as part of Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve. The center is open Tuesday-Saturday 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The center is closed on federal holidays and Mardi Gras. The film “The Cajun Way; Echoes of Acadia” is shown hourly beginning at 10:00 a.m., with the last showing at 3:00 p.m. Rangers present a short talk at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday-Saturday. The center also features exhibits and programs on the history and cultures of south Louisiana. Admission to the center and for most center programs is free. Group tours are available by reservation.
