Fees & Passes

Entrance Fees

Hovenweep National Monument does not charge an entrance fee.

Camping Fees

Sites at the campground are $15 per night, March 1 - October 31, and $10 per night the rest of the year.

Holders of valid federal lands passes such as the Senior Pass or Access Pass pay $7 per night, March 1 - October 31, and $5 per night the rest of the year.

Camping fees are payable by cash or check, only. We do not accept credit cards.


2020 Fee Free Days

National parks across the country will waive park entrance fees on these dates in 2019. Mark your calendars for these fee-free days:

  • Monday, January 20 – Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
  • Saturday, April 18 – Start of National Park Week / National Junior Ranger Day
  • Tuesday, August 25 – National Park Service Birthday
  • Saturday, September 26 – National Public Lands Day
  • Wednesday, November 11 – Veterans Day

Every Kid Outdoors

Available to US 4th graders (including home-schooled and free-choice learners 10 years of age) with a valid Every Kid Outdoors paper voucher. The pass is valid for the duration of the 4th grade school year through the following summer (September - August). Educators can also be involved! Learn more at the Every Kid Outdoors website.


Educational Fee Waivers

Qualifying academic institutions may apply for an entrance fee waiver.
