Hovenweep and Natural Bridges national monuments, with assistance from the San Juan County Economic Development and Visitor Services, are pleased to welcome the New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park Centennial Band to San Juan County. The band’s programming provides the music of New Orleans and the National Park Service to reach a variety of audiences to celebrate the National Park Service’s 100th anniversary and to inspire audiences throughout the country to Find Your Park.

On September 19, the band will play at the Bluff Fort Co-op Building in Bluff, Utah. The band will play at the Hideout Community Center in Monticello, Utah, on September 20. Each concert begins at 6:30 pm and contains two 45-minute sets. Concerts are free of charge.

The Centennial Band will feature Park Rangers Matt Hampsey, Jon Beebe, and Budadams Holmes performing along with New Orleans Musicians. The Centennial Band performs traditional New Orleans jazz and R&B, selections from the Great American Songbook, and original compositions by Ranger Jeff Wolin. Concert set lists include "What a Wonderful World," "When the Saints Go Marching in," "Amazing Grace," "You Are My Sunshine," "I Wanna Be a Park Ranger," "The Chicken," and others.

Please call the Natural Bridges National Monument visitor center (435-692-1234) or the Hovenweep National Monument visitor center (970-562-4282) with questions about the concerts.
