Come to the annual Tallgrass Prairie Fiddle Festival at Homestead National Monument of America just 4 miles outside Beatrice, Nebraska on May 25! Compete yourself or come to enjoy the music!

While at Homestead National Monument of America be sure to visit the Heritage Center, walk the trails, and enjoy a picnic! Bring a lunch or buy one from Back Alley Eatery!

The Tallgrass Prairie Fiddle Festival is a day for fiddlers of all ages and experience levels to come together much like they did when the first pioneers arrived in the 1800s and began settling the prairie. The sounds of the fiddlers were often heard whenever homesteaders got together and those same sounds will be heard on May 25 at the Tallgrass Prairie Fiddle Festival as music comes from both the stage and spontaneous jam sessions around the grounds!

12 p.m. Fiddling and Acoustic Band Competition

Competition

Fiddle a little or a lot? There are four different categories to compete for a portion of the $3,500 prize money donated by the Coffin Family Foundation:

• Junior: For fiddlers who have played less than five years.

• Senior: For fiddlers who have played for five years or more.

• Legends: For fiddlers who have previously won First Place in the senior division.

• Acoustic Band
