The education department really makes a difference. They reach out to the public providing learning opportunities, and keeping both children and adults safe while visiting the park. Each program has active components; visitors go away with new visions and a better understanding of history. Consequently, I know more about John Brown and the Civil War than I ever anticipated. The education department will keep you on your toes.
