Fall Historic Preservation Workshop at Pratt Cabin

Salt Flat, Texas – Guadalupe Mountains National Park will close the historic Pratt Cabin in McKittrick Canyon for the second historic preservation workshop that will take place in 2018. The cabin will be closed from October 16th – 18th. Workshop participants will assist in the continued removal and repair of deteriorated doors, window sashes and trim. An earlier spring workshop in May, 2018 took place, this will be a continuation of this preservation project. Ranger staff and park volunteers will be on hand to provide interpretive information to visitors regarding the preservation work taking place at the site.
