2026 Schedule of Activities*Pre-registration is required for each Smokies Service Day* Saturday June 20 - ‘Smokies Service Start’ at Metcalf Bottoms Picnic AreaGreat Smoky Mountains National Park and Keep Sevier Beautiful will kick off Smokies Service Days 2026 with a clean-up at Metcalf Bottoms Picnic Area! We’ll clear grills, replace picnic table boards, pick up litter, and collect fallen tree debris. Saturday July 11 - ‘Checkup Chimneys’ at Chimneys Picnic AreaSpend time with old friends and make new ones at this clean-up of Chimneys Picnic Area! We’ll replace picnic table boards, collect fallen tree debris, clear grills, and remove litter left over from the July 4th festivities at this scenic park location. Saturday August 1 - ‘Cool Cleanup’ at Cosby CampgroundHelp us clean up the beautiful Cosby Campground and Picnic Area! We’ll clear grills, replace picnic table boards, collect fallen tree debris , and remove litter found in the area. Saturday August 22 - ‘Cleaning’s a Blast’ at Big Creek CampgroundPark Rangers will lead this cleaning extravaganza at a local’s favorite campground! Help clear fire rings, remove fallen tree debris and litter, and keep things looking great for the last of the summer fun. Saturday September 26 - ‘Extra Shine’ at Elkmont CampgroundCelebrate National Public Lands Day w ith Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Keep Sevier Beautiful! We’ll clear fire rings, remo ve debris, and repair picnic tables to keep the park’s largest campground enjoyable for all. Saturday October 24 - ‘Fall Colors & Fire Safety’ at Daisy Town in ElkmontTake in the stunning Smokies’ fall colors while helping to keep the park safe! We’ll work alongside a team of Wildland Firefighters to remove leaf litter and other flammable tree debris that’s collected around the historic cabins of Daisy Town near Elmont Campground. Saturday November 14 - ‘Veterans Day Cemetery Cleanup’ at Levi Trentham Cemetrey in ElkmontTo wrap up the 2026 season, we’re honoring our veterans with a park cemetery clean-up! We’ll join the Smokies Archeology Team in cleaning gravestones clearing litter, leaves, and tree debris for this historic site located near Elkmont Campground. To Register for a Smokies Service Day:
