Lake Powell boaters are advised the Stateline Launch Ramp will open for the season on Monday, April 26. The Stateline Launch Ramp is located at the Utah-Arizona border and is accessed off Highway 89 between Page and Greenehaven, Arizona. Boaters are asked to avoid the fenced construction zone located on the north side of the Stateline Launch Ramp. The construction zone is a staging area to assemble dock sections to be barged to Dangling Rope for replacement of that dock system. Alternative launching facilities are located at the Wahweap Marina, located approximately one and one-half miles south of the Stateline Launch Ramp area.

A quagga mussel decontamination dip tank is being installed at the Stateline Launch Ramp parking area and will be operational on Saturday afternoon, May 1. For more information about the dip tank: DWR and partners announce revolutionary new method for decontaminating boats, removing invasive quagga mussels (utah.gov)

The park’s busy season is underway, and visitors are advised to expect congestion and exercise caution in all visitor use areas. Dangers of the spring season require park visitors to monitor changing weather conditions and lake levels. Always approach the shore with caution and watch for shallows and submerged debris. More safety information is available here: Safety - Glen Canyon National Recreation Area (U.S. National Park Service) (nps.gov); and here: Ten Things You Need To Know Before You Boat. Please follow Leave No Trace principles.

The CDC has offered guidance to help people recreating in parks and open spaces to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. We ask the public to be our partner in recreating responsibly by following CDC guidance. To protect the health of those who live, work, and visit national parks and National Park Service facilities, face masks are required in all park buildings and facilities, including visitor centers, park restrooms, and concessioner buildings. Masks are also required outdoors on federal lands when physical distancing cannot be maintained.

A safe and enjoyable park experience begins at home. Prior to visiting, visitors are encouraged to become aware of current alerts available here: Alerts & Conditions - Glen Canyon National Recreation Area (U.S. National Park Service) (nps.gov) The park wishes everyone an enjoyable and safe experience!
