Glacier National Park Wedding Locations

Below is a list of all locations within the park for which Glacier National Park may issue Special Use Permits to hold wedding/elopement ceremonies.

Additional Details:

• There is a limit of two permits per location per day, except amphitheaters which have a limit of four permits per location per day.
• Time limit is two hours for all locations. 
  • This includes time to arrive, hold the ceremony, take photos with all participants, and depart. You may arrive and leave at any time within the permitted time, but not before or after.
  • We do not schedule overlapping permits at the same location but we do schedule back-to-back permits. 
• Permit are generally only written for dates when there is anticipated vehicle access (see "Dates of Vehicle Access" column of table for details). Individuals wanting a winter ski/snowshoe-in ceremony, please indicate on your application.
• Your permit does not grant access during road closures.
• At all picnic areas: tables remain first-come, first-served and tables may not be saved/reserved or moved.
• June through September is peak season at Glacier and most locations are extremely busy with limited parking available during most of the day.
• Construction may take place unexpectedly at any time or location throughout the park. Construction is considered a critical need and may impact areas within the ceremony site locations. However, we cannot offer refunds for locations that are impacted by this. If there is construction at the location of your ceremony, contact the Special Park Uses Office to discuss the option of changing the site location.
• A permit monitor may be required for events over 20 people.
